Pax Autocratica Early Access: What Is Actually Confirmed

Pax Autocratica entered Steam Early Access on August 10, 2026. Since then, Multiverse has shipped frequent maintenance directives covering colony balance, base building, production, exploration, combat, UI and performance.

This article originally included several community-speculated roadmap items with specific dates. Those claims have been removed. The version below separates developer-confirmed plans from ideas that do not currently have an official timetable.

1. What Is Live Now?

The current Early Access game combines two connected loops:

  • Colony management: build and expand the colony, manage workers and soldiers, handle production, logistics, captives and internal stability.
  • Third-person combat expeditions: leave the colony, fight through escalating encounters, collect equipment and progression rewards, then bring those gains back into the colony loop.
  • Core Fragment builds: combine weapon and Core effects to shape combat builds rather than relying on a single fixed loadout.
  • Steam Early Access: the live PC version is currently sold on Steam; Epic Games Store has an official page but is still marked Coming Soon as of September 10, 2026.

For the current gameplay layer, use the patch-aware strategy guide rather than a launch-week guide.

2. How Long Will Early Access Last?

Multiverse currently says it expects Early Access to last approximately two years. The developer also explicitly says that this estimate may change depending on development progress and player feedback.

That means there is no confirmed exact 1.0 release date. Any page giving a specific month or quarter for version 1.0 without a new developer announcement is speculating.

The developer also says it plans to raise the price at full release, but has not announced the final 1.0 price. See the current price page for live store status rather than the expired launch discount.

3. What Does Multiverse Plan to Expand?

The official Early Access description says the team plans to add more content on both the colony and combat sides. Recent updates show what that broad statement looks like in practice.

Colony and management changes already shipped

Late-August directives added or improved:

  • Colony Difficulty Customization.
  • Much larger Foundation limits and base-rendering improvements.
  • Production scheduling and soldier hauling.
  • Selling unwanted items through visiting merchant ships at the Trading Post.
  • Building-placement and management UI improvements.

Combat and progression changes already shipped

Recent directives also adjusted:

  • Combat POI placement in later areas.
  • Newly unlocked weapon blueprint drop rates in sectors 2 and 3.
  • Enemy spawn behavior and several battle bugs.
  • Stability and low-graphics performance.

The developer has separately identified combat repetitiveness, capture/conversion, soldier AI and progression as larger issues still being worked on. These are active work areas, not dated feature promises.

4. What About Co-Op?

Multiverse says co-op is one of the major features it hopes to develop during Early Access.

The wording matters. It does not currently confirm:

  • a co-op release date;
  • a 2027 or 2028 target;
  • a fixed player count;
  • a raid format;
  • cross-play or split-screen support.

Until Multiverse publishes more detail, those specifics should not be presented as confirmed. See the Multiplayer & Co-op Status page for the current state.

5. What Is Not a Confirmed Roadmap Feature?

As of this update, we do not have reliable official support for previously circulated claims about a dated “Prisoner Conversion V2,” a player marriage or dynasty system, a dedicated Vehicle Customization Bay, or a fixed 2-player/4-player co-op raid schedule.

Some of those ideas may originate from community discussion, older material, wish lists, or other fan sites. Unless they appear in a current official developer statement, they should not be treated as committed Early Access milestones.

6. What Happened to the Prologue?

The standalone Pax Autocratica: Prologue was retired from Steam on August 3, 2026, before the Early Access launch. Multiverse said development and support would move to the main game.

So an old article linking to a “free Sector One demo” is no longer describing the current store situation. See Demo & Prologue Status for the current answer.
