Pax Autocratica Demo: Is the Prologue Still Available?
No. The standalone Prologue was retired before the Early Access launch. This page tracks what happened and where the current game is available.
The free Prologue is no longer a live Steam demo
Multiverse announced that Pax Autocratica: Prologue would be retired from Steam on August 3, 2026, one week before the main game's Early Access release on August 10. The studio said future development, updates, and support would focus on the main version.
Older guides that still say “download the free Prologue” are now outdated. The Prologue's historical Steam page may still be visible, but it should not be treated as a currently downloadable demo.
What Was Pax Autocratica: Prologue?
Historical purpose
The Prologue was a standalone free preview used before Early Access to let players experience the game's colony management and expedition-combat loop and provide development feedback.
What to play now
The supported product is the main Pax Autocratica Early Access release on Steam. If Multiverse releases another public demo later, this page will be updated rather than assuming the old Prologue has returned.
Can I Still Use Old Prologue Guides?
Use them as historical references only. The Early Access game has received frequent balance, base-management, UI, performance, and progression changes since launch, so exact mechanics from the Prologue may no longer match the current build.

Epic Games Store has an official Pax Autocratica listing, but as of this status check it is still marked Coming Soon. Steam is the verified live storefront for the Early Access release.
